Sustainability a Priority

Green Circle Salons is happy to announce a new partnership with The Professional Products Division of L'Oréal Canada; including Matrix, Redken 5th Ave. NYC, L'ORÉAL Professionnel, Kerastase, and Shu uemura.

By understanding the challenges ahead and the opportunities created by those challenges, L'Oréal and Green Circle Salons will work together to help make the beauty industry a more sustainable one.

A core belief that the Green Circle team has held from day one is that to effect change, business, industry, and government must be involved as they are the only groups powerful and persuasive enough to implement the sustainable actions that are needed to address the environmental problems we face today.

Sales people from the L'Oréal Professional Products Division umbrella are visiting salons across Canada everyday on their usual business calls. Utilizing this massive sales force to promote GCS is one of the most effective ways to get a clear message out that a simple green strategy is now available to salons. From diverting waste such as hair, foils, colour tubes, plastics and papers out of landfill, to chemical waste removal, salons can now go beyond just making us look beautiful-to helping keep our communities clean and beautiful.

It is natural that we all want to look and feel good, but all of this beauty has a true or environmental cost. It is clear to us that solutions are needed fast. It is our sincere hope that the relationship with LPPD and the associated brands can help us to shine some light on the environmental impact of this industry; in turn, forcing us to act and go a step further.
